“Frankie & Pearl helps show that people with a facial difference are just the same as anyone else, and everyone has the ability to be a friend!”
- Alexis
“A Lesson from Frankie and Pearl” is AboutFace’s unique programming focused on building awareness and acceptance of facial differences in the classroom.
Created in collaboration with the facial difference community, teachers, and social workers, at the heart of the program is the Frankie and Pearl cartoon supported by plans for kids from Kindergarten to Grade 6. The cartoon and the lesson plans are available in English and French and aim to support health curriculums while advancing diversity, equity, equality, and inclusion in schools. The video is also great for building understanding with extra-curricular coaches, instructors, teachers, and peer participants.
